Hearth Homes is so blessed by our volunteers and the varying talents they bring to support our mission! One special volunteer we would like to recognize is Daniel Brasher; a true volunteer-of-all trades. About a year ago Daniel stepped up to volunteer at Hearth Homes and has been a Champion for our mission ever since!
Coffee in hand, Daniel arrives weekly with his trusty companion, a black lab named Puckett. With a demanding schedule of his own he still strives to give time in support of the mothers and children at Hearth Homes. He is motivated to volunteer out of a desire to do his part to help others and knowing that there are many people in need. He stated, “I want to show the families here that they do not need to accept less than they deserve.” He believes that a little bit of effort goes a long way and works to empower the families here by improving their quality of life.
As a volunteer-of-all trades Daniel has helped us tackle many tasks including electrical issues, computer reboots, home maintenance, winterizing, and so much more. He has also volunteered as a Hearth Homes advocate at many one-day events, such as the Coeur d’Alene Ironman and Valley fest. His most recent project includes creating a grant proposal called “Project Kids Space” geared towards revamping our childcare center into a space that is empowering and educational for residents. Daniel is a patient teacher and models a strong work ethic and a heart for serving others.
You have helped improve the safety and comfort of our homes and we so appreciate the work that you have done and the lasting impact you are leaving on the families who pass through our doors!
